While She Sleeps
The fierce evolution of In Hearts Wake continues with their brand new album INCARNATION set for July 12th release. Announcing a monstrous lineup of supports on their INCARNATION Australian Tour this September 2024: PALEFACE SWISS (Switzerland), King 810 (USA) and Melbourne’s Gravemind.
Switzerland heavy favourites PALEFACE SWISS are set to showcase their adoration for beatdowns and all things hardcore, while Michigan-hailing nu metal trio King 810 are primed to unleash their twisted alt rock and eclectic heavy hues down under. And also flying the flag for Aussie music, Melbourne’s Gravemind will bring their relentlessly heavy yet melodic wares armed with their new album.
This tour will also be the last time bassist Kyle Erich will tour as part of In Hearts Wake, giving fans the opportunity to share in such an important closing chapter for the band. The INCARNATION tour is one not to miss.
The Maine
Celebrating 16 years and nine albums, quintessential Arizona rockers The Maine have announced their return to Australia this September for the Sweet Sixteen Tour!
“We’re so excited to bring the Sweet Sixteen tour to Australia,” says the band. “It’s been two years since we’ve been back, and we’re looking forward to having a longer set packed with so many songs both new and old. Since we saw you last, we’ve released our self-titled album and been busy touring and celebrating 16 years as The Maine. We knew we couldn’t leave our Australian fans out of all the fun, so get your tickets and we’ll see you when we’re looking at you!”
Hailing from Tempe, Arizona The Maine has matured both personally and sonically from their inception – now sixteen years ago – without compromising their integrity or losing their sincerity along the way. Fans have had the unique opportunity to grow up alongside the band, made possible by the band’s adamant insistence on meeting every single fan for free after each show on a tour. The Maine is John O’Callaghan, Kennedy Brock, JaredMonaco, Garrett Nickelsen, and Pat Kirch.
The Maine’s ability to continuously flex their creativity and make dynamic records while maintaining their DIY mindset and keeping their authenticity has not gone unnoticed. Over the course of their career, the band has toured and performed at festivals worldwide, including Australia’s Soundwave Festival in 2011, as well as headlining their own sold out festival in their hometown.
The Maine’s ninth studio album is their first self-titled record, and released last year on August 1. The album follows 2022’s single Loved You A Little which broke into the Top 5 on the alt radio charts. The band celebrated the album release with an extensive headlining run across the US known as their Sweet Sixteen Tour where they perform songs from across their expansive catalog.
Don’t miss The Maine playing all the favourites in Australia this September!
Allday
With his fifth studio album The Necklace set to be released August 2nd via Dew Process, today, Australian rapper, singer and songwriter Allday announces his national album tour and releases his new single ‘Miss You Still’ featuring long-time friend and fellow artist Tim Nelson (Cub Sport) and includes an interpolation of Ben Lee’s classic hit ‘Cigarettes Will Kill You’.
‘Miss You Still’ is the third offering from The Necklace, following ‘Drip Drop’ and debut single ‘Access’.
The Necklace Tour, presented by triple j, will kick off on Friday August 23rd at The Gov in Adelaide and travels through Perth, Melbourne, Sydney with his final destination, Brisbane playing the Princess Theatre on Saturday September 3rd. Tickets are on sale here from Monday 9am AEST, May 20, 2024.
For Allday, ‘Miss You Still’ marks a special moment of graduation for both him and Cub Sport, who’ve risen through the music ranks in tandem, cutting their teeth as young artists and evolving into creatives defined by their own unique artistry. This collaboration is a masterclass in blending the delicate nature of Nelson’s ARIA-winning pop vocals and Allday’s distinctive bars, all set to warm nostalgia echoed through the familiar piano chords of ‘Cigarettes Will Kill You’.
“I’d always loved that song [‘Cigarettes…’]; I’ve always loved the piano. I think people will just like the piano, even if they haven’t heard the original song. [Ben Lee] was cool with it. I’ve known everyone from Cub Sport since 2012 or 2013, so that is a cool friendship.” – Allday
Ben Lee says, “I’ve always been inspired by artists who sit in their own space, carving out their own territory, beyond competition because they are playing their own game. Allday is that type of artist and I’m honoured he sampled Ciggys and made it his own. It’s so cool. And Cub Sport on the track too! Top day for me. Proud to be associated with this current wave of cutting-edge Aussie artists who are in the process of taking over the world!”
The single comes alongside an official video directed by ARIA Award winning director Kyle Caulfield. Kyle says, “… Naturally the combination of the colour blue and the themes of the track, birthed this concept of ‘The never ending waiting room.’ We wanted to build a transitional/liminal style space that allowed us to watch as others would come and go but Allday was seemingly stuck in time and space. I guess it kind of takes the feeling of being lost, stuck and unsure of closure in an emotional sense, and explores that in a physical world.”

Diamond-selling British band Glass Animals today announce an intimate pop-up show at Sydney’s Liberty Hall this Thursday 9 May. PRE-ORDER I LOVE YOU SO F***ING MUCH
LISTEN TO ‘CREATURES IN HEAVEN’
I Love You So F***ing Much, is the follow-up to 2020’s critically revered Dreamland, which sold over 12M copies globally and gave life to ‘Heat Waves’, the record-breaking song that became the biggest international hit from a British band in almost 30 years. It was the first song to reach #1 with a single writer and producer since Pharell’s ‘Happy,’ and led to the pop world’s biggest acts, including Florence Welch, all wanting to work with Glass Animals frontman, songwriter and producer, Dave Bayley. But the birth of I Love You So F***ing Much was an existential crisis. Dave found himself struggling to make sense of this newfound global stardom, having watched it all happen while the world was in lockdown.
“Life can change dramatically, but sometimes you aren’t able to change as quickly on a personal level. You end up feeling like a spectator. And then you are asked and expected to be a certain type of person, a different person. But…I wasn’t sure how. It confused me to the point of not knowing who I was or if anything was real.”
It took being stranded on a cliff in a wooden house on stilts during one of California’s biggest storms in history to push that feeling into a full existential crisis. In forced isolation, watching trees tumble down mountains and assuming “death was coming,” Dave began asking questions of himself, of the universe and of the human experience: namely, love. As he came to accept himself as an introvert, Dave realised that “human connection and the love between us is much bigger, more important, and more complex than anything else”. ‘Creatures in Heaven’ is the sublime first glimpse into 10 intimate love stories set against the backdrop of the universe.
Full of 70s analogue synths and a vast space-scale of production, “Creatures in Heaven” tackles the moment: Are you here in the moment? Be in the moment. “It’s about a moment in time, be it a split second or a year or whatever, having the capacity to be enormously formative and life-changing. Even if it is over. Or if it doesn’t go as planned. Or if it dies too soon. It is still fucking beautiful. The
love and care and the feeling in that moment lives forever. It never really dies. If that’s how you
choose to see it,” says Dave.
Finding sense in that chaos is where I Love You So F***ing Much begins. Join the love space odyssey today.
