Summer Dance

Our summer series continues to create magic. November 18th we welcome the Scandinavian space disco don – TODD TERJE (NOR), followed by a night of off-kilter, jacking bass madness courtesy of ADAM PITS & LISENE AKA SPACE CADETS (UK) and MANAMI (UK).

In case you missed it, Summer Dance is back with a brand new format. Taking you from day-to-night, it’s an Entertainment Quarter Takeover. Summer Dance will transform Liberty Hall’s Courts into a sun-soaked dance oasis.

As sun sets into nightfall SUMMER DANCE AFTER DARK will keep the body heat stoked up within a purpose built club spectacle inside Liberty Hall.

Taking over The Courts for a befitting headline slot – “The king of the summer jams”,Todd Terje returns for an exclusive DJ set armed with his eclectic arsenal of groove-led stormers. Widely recognised for rich and colourful productions, Terje knows how to create an affecting house anthem. Alongside contemporaries Prins Thomas and Lindström, Terje would influence the sound of a generation with his infectious disco-soaked touch. Hits such as Inspector Norse, Snooze 4 Love and Johnny and Maryare sonic extravagance, impossible to ignore within clubs and festivals in every pocket of the planet. Equally, his endless list of infectious edits and remixes are ubiquitous. A dynamic and resourceful DJ who knows exactly how to stir the soul – take a ride through funky jazz noodlings, Italo epics and humid piano house stormers by a modern day giant of dance music.

Sydney / Eora’s own purveyor of all things “disco delicious” Andy Webb and the ever-sharp and venturesome stylings of Reenie will join the helm, guaranteeing a body rocking ride the whole way through.

Bebe Rexha

“Heart Wants What It Wants” is the hotly anticipated follow-up to the global smash “I’m Good (Blue)” — a reunion with super-producer David Guetta that riffs on Eiffel 65’s seminal “Blue (Da Ba Dee).” After a snippet went viral on TikTok in late 2022, the banger topped the charts in more than 20 countries and has amassed over 1.1 billion streams. It reached #1 at Top 40, Hot AC and Dance radio and was nominated for a GRAMMY® Award along with winning an MTV European Music Award.

After cutting her teeth as an in-demand songwriter (she penned Eminem and Rihanna’s “The Monster,” among other hits), Rexha started churning out smashes of her own including multi-platinum G-Eazy collaboration “Me, Myself & I” and Martin Garrix-produced club sensation “In The Name Of Love.”In 2017, she struck gold with “Meant To Be,” a country duet with Florida Georgia Line that was certified Diamond (10x Platinum). Rexha has since garnered over 16 billion cumulative streams.

“Meant To Be” earned Rexha a nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the 61st Annual GRAMMY® Awards, where she was also up for Best New Artist. The pop star has released two critically acclaimed albums, 2018’s Expectations and 2021’s Better Mistakes. Expect to hear beloved hits from all of those project’s on Rexha’s upcoming tour as well as recent smashes like “Heart Wants What It Wants.”
